For anyone following this, I've updated it to support Insteon devices. I'll post it later today.

Well, later anyway!

The new file is PSPTouchControl2.zip for Insteon.

Usage is same as before, only put the Insteon Device ID in TEMP1 and set TEMP2 to nul (""), then include the new file...

<% ph_readfile( ph_getphwebdir() + "\touch\touch_ilamp.psp") %>

DIMAC is a macro that takes the dim level from the web page and sends it to the device.

Looks like I never posted it before.

The newer code covers both X10 and Insteon.

Thank you Tony! I've been playing with the x10 version.

100% sure it's me, I'm still trying to get it to work.
I actually got it to change the dim percentage for about 20 minutes, until I changed something again. (I Never got more than a pixel wide blue line though).

I was referring to the last line in the Macro that had an Insteon reference.

The test web page shows the cool on/off graphic, right after an exclamation point. I get an exclamation pt under the cursor when I click in the black section and nothing happens when I click anywhere else.

I am having fun trying to figure out this stuff, but I'm as technically challenged as I am artistically challenged. Which is why I'm trying to take advantage of your examples for my own use. (I do however, excel at drinking.)

At work now, but I'll keep trying until the wee hours when I get home.

Thanks again.

Also this goes out to everyone who has made their own psp pages:

Any recommendations on where to get buttons/graphics /etc, that have been donated by the gifted (aka Tony)?

Also, has anyone controlled PowerHome via MS Access? Been taking lessons on it provided by work, and thought maybe I can roll my own interface...
(kinda like I imagine myself building a deck, eating right and working out, probably not gonna happen).

I also think I failed to mention that this may not work in IE.

I use Firefox, so it is tuned for that.

I'll respond in more detail when I get home from work.

I'm pretty sure you did, plus FF is my browser of choice as well. I use the ie-tab plugin for activex sites.
Your html/javascript code mentions Netscape. Does FF register as Netscape? Also, I'm on the latest FF update if that has any bearing...

The test page is set up for an X10 module at "A8". Do you have a module with this address? If not, change it to an address that you do have.

Thanks, I did so, but it still doesn't work for me.
Here is what I changed it to:

<!-- Set LOCAL1 and LOCAL2 with house and unit codes -->
<% ph_rtne( ph_setvar_s ( 1, 1, "B" ) + ph_setvar_s ( 1, 2, "10" )) %>
<% ph_rtne( ph_setvar_s ( 1, 6, "MANNYS DEN" )) %>

Would my issue have anything to do with the DIMAC Macro?
Not sure how line 80 should read for x10 vs insteon.

The sql you provided had the following:
insert into macrodetail values ('DIMAC',8,38,'',1,'ph_insteon( "[TEMP1]", ion, int( integer( "[TEMP2]")/100*255) )',0,'')

Lines 70 and 80 are only for Insteon, and will not be executed for X10.

I just found that the touch_lamp.psp code was old.

I've updated PSPTouchControl2.

Awesome!
Worked like a charm the 1st time.
Well, the 1st time this time.
It's the "\"(back slashes) that lost me. I wasn't adding them to your original code. Also the status in the label is way kewl.

If you're ever in San Diego, drinks are on me.

Thanks a lot.

Looking good. What is the palm tree?

Here are the graphics and code.

PSPTouchOnOff

Usage:
LOCAL1=House, LOCAL2=Unit (or LOCAL1=ID, LOCAL2="")
LOCAL3=Description
LOCAL4=X Coord, LOCAL5=Y Coord

NOTE: This version is not coded for Insteon yet!
